श्री राम की बाल लीलाओं की गहन और भावपूर्ण कथाओं में से एक है अहिल्या उद्धार, जिसमें उन्होंने स्त्रियों के प्रति सम्मान, क्षमा और न्याय का उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किया।
यह प्रसंग उस समय का है जब श्री राम और लक्ष्मण ताड़का वध के बाद ऋषि विश्वामित्र के साथ जनकपुर (मिथिला) की ओर जा रहे थे।
एक शापित आश्रम
जनकपुर जाते समय, राम, लक्ष्मण और विश्वामित्र एक वीरान और वीरान आश्रम से गुज़रते हैं। वहाँ कोई दिखाई नहीं देता, लेकिन उस स्थान की पवित्रता स्पष्ट रूप से महसूस होती है।
राम पूछते हैं:
"गुरुदेव, यह स्थान इतना शांत और दिव्य है, फिर भी यह वीरान क्यों है?"
विश्वामित्र कहते हैं:
"यह गौतम ऋषि का आश्रम है। उनकी पत्नी अहिल्या वर्षों से यहाँ एक शिला के रूप में शापित होकर प्रतीक्षा कर रही हैं।"
अहिल्या को श्राप क्यों मिला था?
अहिल्या एक अत्यंत सुंदर और तपस्वी स्त्री थीं, जिनकी रचना स्वयं ब्रह्मा ने की थी।
वह महर्षि गौतम की पत्नी थीं।
एक बार भगवान इंद्र ने छल से गौतम ऋषि का रूप धारण कर अहिल्या के साथ संबंध बनाए।
जब गौतम ऋषि को सच्चाई का पता चला, तो वे क्रोधित हो गए और अहिल्या को श्राप दिया:
“तुम पत्थर बन जाओगी और तभी तुम्हारा उद्धार होगा जब स्वयं भगवान राम तुम्हारे चरण स्पर्श करेंगे।”
अहिल्या को अपनी भूल का पछतावा हुआ। वह वर्षों तक एक शिला के रूप में ध्यान में लीन रहीं और भगवान राम के आगमन की प्रतीक्षा करती रहीं।
भगवान राम का स्पर्श और मोक्ष
जब भगवान राम उस स्थान पर पहुँचे, तो जैसे ही उन्होंने शिला को छुआ, वह शिला तुरंत जीवित अहिल्या में परिवर्तित हो गई।
अहिल्या की आँखों से आँसू बहने लगे। उन्होंने श्री राम को प्रणाम किया और कहा:
"हे प्रभु, आपने न केवल मुझे श्राप से मुक्त किया, बल्कि एक स्त्री की गरिमा की भी रक्षा की।"
देवताओं ने आकाश से पुष्प वर्षा की।
गौतम ऋषि भी वहाँ प्रकट हुए और उन्होंने श्री राम को प्रणाम किया और अहिल्या को स्वीकार किया।
नारियों का सम्मान और उद्धार ईश्वर के प्रथम कार्यों में से एक है।
गलतियाँ तो कोई भी कर सकता है, लेकिन पश्चाताप और प्रतीक्षा से मुक्ति संभव है।
राम न केवल एक नायक हैं, बल्कि करुणा के प्रतीक भी हैं।
हर अन्याय या दोष का अंत दंड नहीं, बल्कि न्याय और सुधार है।
भक्ति और प्रतीक्षा से ईश्वर की कृपा अवश्य प्राप्त होती है।

This episode is from the time when Shri Ram and Lakshman were going towards Janakpur (Mithila) with Rishi Vishwamitra after killing Taraka.
A Cursed Ashram
While going to Janakpur, Ram, Lakshman and Vishwamitra pass by a deserted and desolate ashram. No one is visible there, but the sanctity of the place is clearly felt.
Ram asks:
"Gurudev, this place is so peaceful and divine, yet why is it deserted?"
Vishwamitra says:
"This is the ashram of Gautam Rishi. His wife Ahalya has been waiting here for years, cursed in the form of a rock."
Why was Ahalya cursed?
Ahalya was an extremely beautiful and ascetic woman, who was created by Brahma himself.
She was the wife of Maharishi Gautam.
Once Lord Indra disguised himself as Gautam Rishi and had a relationship with Ahalya.
When Gautam Rishi came to know the truth, he got angry and cursed Ahalya:
“You will turn into stone and you will be saved only when Lord Rama himself touches your feet.”
Ahalya regretted her mistake. She remained absorbed in meditation as a rock for years and waited for the arrival of Lord Rama.
Touch of Lord Rama and Salvation
When Lord Rama reached the place, as soon as he touched the rock, the rock immediately transformed into a living Ahalya.
Tears started flowing from Ahalya’s eyes. She bowed to Shri Ram and said:
"O Lord, you not only freed me from the curse, but also protected the dignity of a woman."
The gods showered flowers from the sky.
Sage Gautam also appeared there and bowed to Shri Ram and accepted Ahalya.
Respecting and liberating women is one of the first works of God.
Anyone can make mistakes, but liberation is possible through repentance and waiting.
Ram is not only a hero, but also a symbol of compassion.
The end of every injustice or fault is not punishment, but justice and correction.
God's grace is definitely attained through devotion and waiting.
