जीवन परिचय :-

आकाश दीप एक भारतीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेटर हैं ।  वह अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट में भारत की राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट टीम के लिए दाएं हाथ के तेज गेंदबाज और दाएं हाथ के निचले क्रम के बल्लेबाज के रूप में खेलते हैं , घरेलू क्रिकेट में बंगाल क्रिकेट टीम के लिए, इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग में लखनऊ सुपर जायंट्स के लिए और बंगाल प्रो टी 20 लीग में सर्वोटेक सिलीगुड़ी स्ट्राइकर्स के लिए खेलते हैं । उनका जन्म देहरी , बिहार में हुआ और वे कोलकाता , पश्चिम बंगाल में पले-बढ़े । उन्होंने 2024 सीरीज़ के चौथे टेस्ट में इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट में पदार्पण किया ।

व्यक्तिगत जीवन :-

उनके पिता रामजी सिंह बिहार के सासाराम में एक सरकारी स्कूल में शिक्षक थे। पढ़ाई से ज़्यादा क्रिकेट खेलने के जुनून के कारण उन्हें बिहार में अपने माता-पिता और पड़ोसियों से विरोध का सामना करना पड़ा। जिस समय बिहार क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन को निलंबित कर दिया गया था, उस समय बिहार में उभरते क्रिकेटरों के लिए क्रिकेट में अपना करियर बनाने के लिए कोई उचित मंच नहीं था और आकाश दीप इसके पीड़ितों में से एक थे। कुछ माता-पिता ने अपने बच्चों से आकाश दीप से न मिलने का आग्रह किया, क्योंकि आकाश सासाराम में क्रिकेट में जुनून से जुड़े एकमात्र व्यक्ति थे। इस बीच, उनमें से कुछ माता-पिता इस बात से सतर्क थे कि उनके अपने बच्चे पढ़ाई छोड़कर आकाश दीप के नक्शेकदम पर न चलें। 

आकाश दीप के पिता जाहिर तौर पर चाहते थे कि उनका बेटा ऐसी परीक्षा दे जिससे उसे सरकारी नौकरी मिल सके, लेकिन आकाश क्रिकेट में अपनी रुचि नहीं छोड़ना चाहता था। उसके पिता ने उसे बिहार पुलिस कांस्टेबल की परीक्षा देने या कम से कम राज्य सरकार के चतुर्थ श्रेणी कर्मचारी चपरासी की नौकरी के लिए प्रयास करने की सलाह दी। हालाँकि, जब वह अपने करियर की महत्वाकांक्षाओं पर ध्यान केंद्रित कर रहा था, तब उसे असफलताओं का सामना करना पड़ा क्योंकि उसके पिता और उसके बड़े भाई की अप्रत्याशित रूप से मृत्यु हो गई, जिससे आकाश के साथ-साथ उसके परिवार में दो बहनें भी रह गईं। उसके पिता और बड़े भाई की मृत्यु छह महीने के भीतर हो गई और आकाश अपने परिवार में तत्काल कमाने वाला बन गया।

कैरियर का आरंभ :-

उनके एक करीबी दोस्त ने उन्हें अपने दैनिक खर्चों का प्रबंधन करने के लिए दुर्गापुर में एक क्रिकेट क्लब में शामिल होने में मदद की । उन्होंने दुर्गापुर के आसपास टेनिस-बॉल मैच खेलना शुरू किया और प्रतिदिन 600 रुपये कमाए और टेनिस-बॉल मैच खेलकर वह हर महीने लगभग 20,000 रुपये कमाते थे।

वह क्रिकेट करियर के अपने सपनों को साकार करने के लिए 2010 में सीएबी फर्स्ट डिवीजन लीग में यूनाइटेड क्लब में शामिल हुए। वह शुरू में एक स्थानीय अकादमी में फ्रंटलाइन बल्लेबाज के रूप में शामिल हुए, लेकिन अपने कोचों के अनुरोध पर, उन्होंने तेज़ गेंदबाज़ी करना शुरू कर दिया क्योंकि उन्होंने वर्षों में अपनी लंबाई बढ़ानी शुरू कर दी थी। उन्होंने भारत के विज़न 2020 कार्यक्रम के हिस्से के रूप में बंगाल के पूर्व तेज़ गेंदबाज़ रानादेब बोस के साथ काम किया और एक साल के भीतर ही उन्हें बंगाल अंडर-23 क्रिकेट टीम के लिए चुन लिया गया।  हालाँकि, उस समय उन्हें करियर के लिए ख़तरा पैदा करने वाली पीठ की चोट का सामना करना पड़ा, और उन्हें जाहिर तौर पर अपने बंगाल अंडर-23 के मुख्य कोच सौराशीष लाहिड़ी से समर्थन मिला , जिन्होंने उनकी पुनर्वास प्रक्रिया की देखभाल की।

घरेलू करियर :-

उन्होंने 9 मार्च 2019 को 2018-19 सैयद मुश्ताक अली ट्रॉफी में बंगाल के लिए अपना ट्वेंटी 20 डेब्यू किया। उन्होंने 2019-20 विजय हजारे ट्रॉफी में बंगाल के लिए 24 सितंबर 2019 को अपनी लिस्ट ए की शुरुआत की । उन्होंने 2019-20 रणजी ट्रॉफी में बंगाल के लिए 25 दिसंबर 2019 को प्रथम श्रेणी में पदार्पण किया ।

Biography :-

Akash Deep is an Indian international cricketer. He plays as a right-arm fast bowler and right-handed lower-order batsman for the India national cricket team in international cricket, for the Bengal cricket team in domestic cricket, for the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League and for the Sarvotech Siliguri Strikers in the Bengal Pro T20 League. He was born in Dehri, Bihar and grew up in Kolkata, West Bengal. He made his international debut against England in the fourth Test of the 2024 series.

Personal Life :-

His father Ramji Singh was a teacher in a government school in Sasaram, Bihar. He faced opposition from his parents and neighbors in Bihar due to his passion for playing cricket more than studying. At the time when the Bihar Cricket Association was suspended, there was no proper platform for budding cricketers in Bihar to make their career in cricket and Akash Deep was one of its victims. Some parents urged their children not to meet Akash Deep, as Akash was the only person passionately involved in cricket in Sasaram. Meanwhile, some of those parents were cautious that their own children should not follow in Akash Deep's footsteps by abandoning studies.

Akash Deep's father apparently wanted his son to take an exam that could get him a government job, but Akash did not want to give up his interest in cricket. His father advised him to take the Bihar Police constable exam or at least try for the job of a peon, a class IV employee of the state government. However, while he was focusing on his career ambitions, he faced setbacks as his father and his elder brother died unexpectedly, leaving Akash along with two sisters in his family. His father and elder brother died within a span of six months and Akash became the immediate breadwinner in his family.

Early Career :-

One of his close friends helped him join a cricket club in Durgapur to manage his daily expenses. He started playing tennis-ball matches around Durgapur and earned Rs 600 per day and he used to earn around Rs 20,000 per month by playing tennis-ball matches.

He joined United Club in the CAB First Division League in 2010 to realize his dreams of a cricket career. He initially joined a local academy as a frontline batsman, but on the request of his coaches, he switched to fast bowling as he had started increasing his height over the years. He worked with former Bengal fast bowler Ranadeb Bose as part of India's Vision 2020 program and within a year, he was selected for the Bengal Under-23 cricket team. However, he suffered a career-threatening back injury at that time, and he apparently received support from his Bengal Under-23 head coach Sourashis Lahiri, who looked after his rehabilitation process.

Domestic career :-

He made his Twenty20 debut for Bengal in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 9 March 2019. He made his List A debut on 24 September 2019 for Bengal in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He made his first-class debut on 25 December 2019 for Bengal in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy.

On 30 August 2021, Deep was added to the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad for the second leg of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) in the UAE. In February 2022, he was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament. He took eleven wickets, including two four-wicket hauls, in two tour games for India A against England Lions before his Test callup.

International career:-

Akash Deep replaced the injured Shivam Mavi in ​​India's squad for the 2022 Asian Games. In November 2023, he was included in India's ODI squad for the series against South Africa in South Africa as an injury replacement for Deepak Chahar, but did not play in any of the matches.
