जीवन परिचय :-

रिंकू खानचंद सिंह एक भारतीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेटर हैं । वह बाएं हाथ के मध्य क्रम के बल्लेबाज और कभी-कभार ऑफ स्पिन गेंदबाज हैं , जिन्होंने अगस्त 2023 में आयरलैंड के खिलाफ द विलेज में खेलते हुए भारत के लिए अपना अंतरराष्ट्रीय पदार्पण किया था। सिंह घरेलू क्रिकेट में उत्तर प्रदेश और इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) में कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स के लिए खेलते हैं । उन्होंने 8 जून 2025 को भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञ और सांसद प्रिया सरोज से सगाई कर ली ।

प्रारंभिक जीवन:-

रिंकू सिंह पाँच भाई-बहनों में तीसरे नंबर के हैं और उनका जन्म एक गरीब परिवार में हुआ था। उनके पिता खानचंद्र सिंह एक एलपीजी वितरण कंपनी में काम करते थे। अपने शुरुआती वर्षों में सिंह अलीगढ़ , उत्तर प्रदेश में अलीगढ़ स्टेडियम के पास दो कमरों वाले क्वार्टर में रहते थे । यह आवास उनके पिता के नियोक्ताओं द्वारा प्रदान किया गया था। 

उन्होंने अपने घर में काफी गरीबी देखी। उनके पिता सिलेंडर डिलीवरी का काम करते थे और भाई ऑटो रिक्शा चलता था। रिंकू के पांच भाई-बहन हैं। उनका बचपन दो कमरों के घर में बीता। उन्होंने केवल स्कूली शिक्षा हासिल की। वह नौवीं क्लास में फेल हो गए थे। इसके बाद, रिंकू ने आगे पढ़ाई नहीं की। हालांकि, रिंकू जिंदगी में कड़ी मेहनत करना नहीं छोड़ा। उन्होंने उत्तर प्रदेश की अंडर 16 से रणजी टीम का तक सफर तय किया। वह 2017 में आईपीएल का हिस्सा बने। रिंकू को 2018 में शाहरुख़ खान की केकेआर ने 80 लाख रुपये में खरीदा और उन्होंने तब से पीछे मुड़कर नहीं देखा। 

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कैरियर :-

18 अगस्त 2023 को, सिंह ने आयरलैंड के खिलाफ द विलेज में पहले ट्वेंटी 20 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय (टी20आई) में अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट में पदार्पण किया । अगले गेम में, उन्होंने पारी की आखिरी गेंद पर आउट होने से पहले 38 रनों की तेज पारी खेली। 23 नवंबर 2023 को, उन्होंने विशाखापत्तनम में पहले टी20आई में ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ 14 गेंदों पर 22 रन बनाए ।

17 जनवरी को अफ़गानिस्तान के खिलाफ़ उन्होंने और रोहित शर्मा ने 190* रन की साझेदारी की, जो टी20I में भारत की सबसे बड़ी साझेदारी और दुनिया में 5वें विकेट के लिए सबसे बड़ी साझेदारी है। मई 2024 में, उन्हें 2024 ICC पुरुष T20 विश्व कप टूर्नामेंट के लिए भारत की टीम में एक रिजर्व खिलाड़ी के रूप में नामित किया गया था।

वह 2018-19 रणजी ट्रॉफी के ग्रुप चरण में उत्तर प्रदेश के लिए नौ मैचों में 803 रन के साथ अग्रणी रन-स्कोरर थे।  उन्होंने दस मैचों में 953 रनों के साथ टूर्नामेंट समाप्त किया। 

इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग से 2020 तक :-

फरवरी 2017 में, सिंह को 2017 इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग के लिए किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब द्वारा नीलामी में खरीदा गया था । जनवरी 2018 में, उन्हें 2018 आईपीएल नीलामी में कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स (केकेआर) द्वारा 80 लाख में खरीदा गया था ।

निलंबन :-

30 मई 2019 को, सिंह को भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (बीसीसीआई) द्वारा तीन महीने का निलंबन दिया गया था, क्योंकि उन्होंने खेलने की पूर्व अनुमति लिए बिना अबू धाबी में रमजान टी 20 टूर्नामेंट में भाग लिया था । 

इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग 2021 से:-

Biography :-

Rinku Khanchand Singh is an Indian international cricketer. He is a left-handed middle-order batsman and occasional off-spin bowler, who made his international debut for India in August 2023, playing against Ireland at The Village. Singh plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket and Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He got engaged to Indian politician and MP Priya Saroj on 8 June 2025.

Early Life :-

Rinku Singh is the third of five siblings and was born in a poor family. His father Khanchand Singh worked in an LPG distribution company. In his early years Singh lived in a two-room quarter near the Aligarh Stadium in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. This accommodation was provided by his father's employers.

He saw a lot of poverty in his house. His father used to work as a cylinder delivery boy and brother used to drive an auto rickshaw. Rinku has five siblings. His childhood was spent in a two-room house. He only received schooling. He failed in the ninth class. After this, Rinku did not study further. However, Rinku did not stop working hard in life. He made his way from Uttar Pradesh's Under 16 to Ranji team. He became a part of the IPL in 2017. Rinku was bought by Shah Rukh Khan's KKR for Rs 80 lakh in 2018 and he has not looked back since then.

International career:-

On 18 August 2023, Singh made his international debut against Ireland in the first Twenty20 International (T20I) at The Village. In the next game, he scored a quick 38 runs before getting dismissed on the last ball of the innings. On 23 November 2023, he scored 22 runs off 14 balls against Australia in the first T20I at Visakhapatnam.

In November 2023, Singh was named in India's squad for the 2023–24 tour of South Africa. On 12 December 2023, he scored his first half-century in T20I cricket with a score of 68*. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut against South Africa on 19 December 2023. He scored 17 runs and took the wicket of Rassie van der Dussen. On 21 December 2023, he played a match-winning innings against South Africa in the second One Day International (ODI).

On 17 January, against Afghanistan, he and Rohit Sharma shared a 190* run partnership, which is India's highest partnership in T20Is and the highest partnership for the 5th wicket in the world. In May 2024, he was named as a reserve player in India's squad for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament.

In July 2024, Singh played in the Indian tour of Sri Lanka. It was not a great series for him, as he scored only 2 runs from 4 balls throughout the matches. However, in the final match, when Sri Lanka needed 9 runs from 12 balls, Singh bowled his first over, resulting in 2 wickets and only 3 runs.

Domestic career :-

Singh represented Uttar Pradesh at Under-16, Under-19 and Under-23 levels; and also played for Central Zone at Under-19 level. [He made his List A cricket debut for Uttar Pradesh in March 2014 at the age of 16 and top-scored in that match with 83 runs. He made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh on 5 November 2016 in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy.

He was the leading run-scorer for Uttar Pradesh in the group stage of the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy, with 803 runs from nine matches. He finished the tournament with 953 runs in ten matches.

Indian Premier League to 2020 :-

In February 2017, Singh was bought by Kings XI Punjab in the auction for the 2017 Indian Premier League. In January 2018, he was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for ₹80 lakh in the 2018 IPL auction.

Suspension :-

On 30 May 2019, Singh was given a three-month suspension by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after he participated in the Ramadan T20 tournament in Abu Dhabi without obtaining prior permission to play.

From Indian Premier League 2021:-

Singh was scheduled to play for KKR in the 2021 Indian Premier League, but he pulled out due to a knee injury and was replaced by Gurkeerat Singh Mann. In February 2022, he was retained by KKR and played for them in IPL 2022. He earned his first Man of the Match award (and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh) after scoring 42 runs in 23 balls against Rajasthan Royals. On 9 April 2023, Rinku achieved a record-breaking feat in an IPL match against Gujarat Titans, hitting five sixes in the final over bowled by Yash Dayal, to successfully chase down 29 runs - the highest ever chase in the final over in the history of the IPL tournament.

After this, she took a law degree from Amity University in Noida.
